These two houses aim to be like objects immersed in the landscape. The use of natural materials, the simple forms and details give them the stature of ancient noble houses and a contemporary simplicity.
Both elevations towards the lake are treated with a portico, which gives linear simplicity to the overall design of the two volumes whilst at the same time allows a more complex form for the internal glassed facades that can therefore enhance the views towards the lake from the many spaces of the houses.
The stone used in this project is Ceppo di Gre, which is extracted on the other side of the lake, and which is common in all Lombardy.

Queste due case vogliono sembrare oggetti nel paesaggio.
L’uso di materiali naturali, forme semplici e cura dei dettagli danno loro la statura di case nobili antiche e una semplicità invece contemporanea.
Entrambi i prospetti verso il lago sono trattati a portico, che dà una semplicità lineare al disegno complessivo dei due volumi e consente allo stesso tempo una forma variegata delle facciate in vetro interne, così da esaltare le differenti viste del lago dai vari spazi della casa.
La pietra utilizzata è il Ceppo di Gre, che viene estratta sull’altra sponda del lago, e che è di uso comune in tutta la Lombardia.
