This building hosts a pharmacy and a public clinic for all the general practitioners and the pediatrician of the town. It rises in direct contact with the main road but completely immersed in what is soon going to become the most important and central green space of the community.
The construction is placed in direct relationship both with planned green, the nearby hills and the local cemetery, which is the only significant built presence in the surroundings.
On the other side of the road a covered market and a supermarket are planned, and eventually a day-care centre for elderly people will be built close to this building.
The project defines the new building as a strongly civic presence, characterized by durable materials and by an ample portico that protects it for all its length, mitigating the presence of the new construction with respect to the green space.
The facade is built in Ceppo di Grè, a local stone extracted on Lake Iseo, that is historically and culturally associated with civic use in all Lombardy.
The portico is designed entirely in steel as a counterpoint to the mass of the main building, and it functions as a brise-soleil for the great glassed openings of the construction as well.
The building is therefore conceived as a pavilion in the green, and dominates its immediate environment.
The designed geometrical axis of the construction is perpendicular to that of the road, whilst that of the portico is parallel to the cemetery, adding subtlety to the composition

Questo edificio ospita una farmacia e un poliambulatorio per tutti i medici di base e il pediatra dell’abitato. Sorge a diretto contatto con la strada principale ma immerso in quello che diventerà il più importante e centrale spazio verde della comunità.
La costruzione è posta in diretta relazione sia con il verde progettato, le vicine colline e il cimitero locale, che è l’unica significativa presenza nell’intorno.
Sull’altro lato della strada sono previsti un mercato coperto e un supermercato, e in futuro un centro diurno per anziani sarà costruito accanto a questo edificio.
Il progetto definisce il fabbricato come una forte presenza civica, caratterizzato da materiali durevoli e da un ampio portico che lo protegge per tutta la lunghezza, mitigando la presenza della nuova costruzione rispetto allo spazio verde.
La facciata è realizzata in ceppo di Gre, una pietra locale estratta sul Lago d’Iseo, che è storicamente e culturalmente associata con l’uso civico in tutta la Lombardia.
il portico è progettato interamente in acciaio come contrappunto alla massa dell’edificio, e funziona anche come frangisole per le grandi aperture vetrate del fabbricato.
L’edificio è così concepito come un padiglione nel verde, e domina le sue immediate circostanze.
La giacitura del fabbricato è perpendicolare a quella della strada, mentre quella del portico è parallela al cimitero, aggiungendo una sottile complessità alla composizione.
